A Bit About Me
My name is Katie Louise Price and I am a 21 year old artist from Solihull, West Midlands.
Here is some information about myself as an young artist;
I have always been creative from young. I went to a mainstream catholic school focusing on Art & Design and Design Technology as they were my chosen subjects for GCSE. I achieved a high B in both subjects.
I was then accepted into one of the best creative arts schools in Birmigham West Midands, Birmingham Ormiston Academy for sixth form, studying a BETEC LEVEL 3 art and design course achieving a Triple Distinction star D*D*D*.
In lockdown I used my art skills to create commisions, building a social platform for my art, such as instagram and facebook.
For the last three years I have been studying a BA Hons Fine Art course at DMU Leicester achieving a final Grade 2:2 Lower Second-Class Honours.

As a recent graduate from De Montfort University, I have acquired a diverse set of skills in various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. My passion in creating unique sculptures and paintings, and I have developed my own distinctive style over the years. One of my proudest achievements was completing a challenging installation in my final year, which helped me to graduate and further hone my skills.
At BOA, I had the opportunity to explore my artistic skills and develop my expertise in realism through painting and drawing. The curriculum covered a wide range of design subjects, including product design, graphic design, interior design, and fashion. Inspired by my experience I started my own art page to promote my commissions business.
During my time at St. Peters, I discovered my passion for art, with a particular focus on animals. I gained a strong understanding of colour theory and how to mix colors effectively. I also developed my own unique approach to 3D art, creating mixed media paintings. My hard work and dedication paid off when I was awarded the Top Artist of the Year. Additionally, I had the opportunity to study Design and Technology, where I was introduced to CAD/CAM, woodwork, and textiles. Overall, my experiences in art and design have been well-rounded and have helped me develop a diverse set of skills.
