A Bit About Me
My name is Katie Price, and I am a 23-year-old artist and a proud mom from Solihull, West Midlands. I have always been creative, starting from a young age, and pursued my passion for art throughout my education, achieving notable grades in Art & Design and Design Technology. After attending Birmingham Ormiston Academy for my sixth form studies, I continued to hone my skills while building a social media presence for my art during lockdown. I have currently completed my teacher training course whilst pregnant then returning after 8 weeks of maternity leave.

As a recent graduate from De Montfort University, I have acquired a diverse set of skills in various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. My passion in creating unique sculptures and paintings, and I have developed my own distinctive style over the years. One of my proudest achievements was completing a challenging installation in my final year, which helped me to graduate and further hone my skills.
At BOA, I had the opportunity to explore my artistic skills and develop my expertise in realism through painting and drawing. The curriculum covered a wide range of design subjects, including product design, graphic design, interior design, and fashion. Inspired by my experience I started my own art page to promote my commissions business.
During my time at St. Peters, I discovered my passion for art, with a particular focus on animals. I gained a strong understanding of colour theory and how to mix colors effectively. I also developed my own unique approach to 3D art, creating mixed media paintings. My hard work and dedication paid off when I was awarded the Top Artist of the Year. Additionally, I had the opportunity to study Design and Technology, where I was introduced to CAD/CAM, woodwork, and textiles. Overall, my experiences in art and design have been well-rounded and have helped me develop a diverse set of skills.
